Description:
Stand Together is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Senior DevOps Engineer to support software development and infrastructure teams.
The role involves providing guidance and design recommendations for managing Cloud assets, consolidating resources, standardizing practices, and creating financial improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities include establishing cloud standards, managing cloud operations, and acting as a Cloud Solutions Architect.
The engineer will develop and debug Python, Ansible Playbooks, Terraform, and other infrastructure as code.
The position requires designing cloud infrastructure following best practices and the Well-Architected Framework.
The engineer will construct a resilient cloud ecosystem capable of quickly restoring services using disaster recovery tools.
Developing an operational framework for cloud platform operations and coaching technical practitioners on best practices for cloud services is also part of the role.
Collaboration with system and software engineers to enhance product functionality is expected.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of professional Cloud Engineering experience is required.
Proficiency in AWS and familiarity with Azure, Google Cloud, and Acquia is necessary.
Understanding of network protocols such as Custom TCP, SSH, HTTPS, UDP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing, and Firewalls is essential.
Expertise in designing cloud solutions from the ground up is required.
Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet is needed.
Proficiency in AWS Lambda languages such as Python, Java, PowerShell, or JavaScript is necessary.
Expertise in containerization and orchestration using Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, or Rancher is required.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git is necessary.
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, and logging tools like ELK Stack or Graylog is essential.
A background in building and deploying web applications from source code is required.
Experience in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like CircleCI, Bamboo, Jenkins, or CodePipelines is necessary.
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Cloud Development Toolkit (CDK), Serverless Stack (SST), Ansible Playbooks, Terraform, or Cloud Formation Templates is required.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix command line interface and proficiency with AWS command line interface is necessary.
Familiarity with other AWS services such as EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, and Lambda is essential.
A background in SQL is advantageous.
Expertise in prototyping and creating Minimal Viable Products for review is required.
A general understanding of API technologies and knowledge of best practices in software development, security, and operations is necessary.
AWS or Azure certifications (Certified Developer, DevOps, Solutions Architect, Data Analytics, or Database) are preferred.
