Description:

  • LawDepot.com is expanding and looking to recruit a Senior DevOps Engineer.
  • This position involves working with the Information Systems team to design, implement, and maintain the DevOps infrastructure.
  • The role ensures seamless software deployment, scalability, and security.
  • The engineer will leverage expertise in DevOps methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and lead transformative projects.
  • Mentoring team members and driving the adoption of best practices is a key responsibility.
  • This is a remote full-time position, requiring 37.5 hours of work per week.
  • Responsibilities include planning and implementing a cloud transformation strategy, leading DevOps projects, and maintaining build and release pipelines.
  • The engineer will train stakeholders on Azure DevOps and Git version control best practices.
  • Providing feedback, overseeing code reviews, and collaborating with the Infrastructure team are also part of the role.
  • The engineer will troubleshoot issues, support development teams, and research new technologies to improve efficiency.
  • Documenting procedures and mentoring team members to ensure best practices are followed is essential.

Requirements:

  • A Post-Secondary Education in Computing Science or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps role is necessary.
  • Expert knowledge of DevOps principles is essential.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure such as Azure Cloud, AWS, or Google Cloud is required.
  • Proficiency with DevOps Pipelines, including Azure, Gitlab, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD solutions, is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge in Terraform and Ansible (or Bicep, ARM) for implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is required.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript for Node.js and web applications is necessary.
  • In-depth knowledge in PowerShell is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Docker is essential for optimizing development and production environments.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of .NET Core, SQL Server, Vue.js, Selenium, and test-driven development is a plus.
  • Experience administering in both Windows and Linux environments is required.
  • The ability to manage NuGet/NPM Feeds is necessary.
  • Knowledge of testing fundamentals, including Unit Testing and Integration Testing, is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching team members is considered an asset.
