Description:
The Senior DevOps Engineer will work on a suite of web and mobile applications to enhance Opal’s DevOps compliance footprint, tools, and infrastructure.
Responsibilities include developing hardening guidelines for Linux/Unix hosts, cloud deployments, and web application frameworks.
The role involves maintaining technologies like Terraform, Kubernetes, Azure, PostgreSQL, and more.
Providing solutions for security, automation, and monitoring in various languages such as Bash, Go, Ruby, and Javascript.
Administering data storage systems, securing web application servers, and planning remediation for vulnerabilities.
Collaborating with different teams to automate workflows, improve performance, and support customer needs.
The position requires documenting processes, educating team members, and supporting a variety of technologies.
Requirements:
5+ years of DevOps experience supporting enterprise-grade web applications.
Ability to work effectively with diverse communities and cultures.
Proficiency in Azure and/or AWS ecosystems with knowledge of modern web application architectures.
Experience with infrastructure as code, cloud hosting, and containerized technologies like Docker.
Familiarity with managing databases, debugging performance issues, and ensuring smooth data migrations.
Strong project management skills, ability to drive initiatives, and knowledge of security technologies.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent related working experience.
