Description:
Veeva Systems is seeking experienced Senior DevOps Engineers who are passionate about automating deployments and optimizing CI/CD environments.
The role involves implementing DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and automated deployment using AWS services.
Responsibilities include designing and building tools, frameworks, systems, and processes for software development, integration, deployment, scaling, and management.
Candidates will build, manage, and deploy architectures using technologies like Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
The position requires automating tasks across the full CI/CD lifecycle to enhance the developer experience and minimize manual work.
Engineers will scale solutions from proofs-of-concept to full production systems.
The role promotes best practices in observability, including monitoring, tracing, alerting, and logging, as well as ensuring high availability within the software engineering group.
Participation in an on-call rotation is required to mitigate disruptions for systems supported by the DevOps team.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles, focusing on tooling, automation, and distributed systems development.
A total of 8+ years of experience in the software industry is required.
Extensive experience in architecting, designing, and implementing deployments in AWS cloud environments is necessary.
Candidates should possess an excellent understanding of networking and the ability to troubleshoot infrastructure issues in AWS.
Strong documentation, communication, presentation, and demo skills are essential.
Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or Codefresh is required.
Familiarity with configuration management platforms like Ansible, Chef, or Salt is necessary.
Hands-on experience using Terraform and/or Kubernetes at scale is required.
Strong scripting knowledge is essential.
Experience with monitoring frameworks to assess the health and performance of infrastructure and applications is necessary.
Candidates should be strong mentors with a proven record of improving team performance.
