The company is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to scale out its cloud infrastructure and platform services.
The role involves building and operating the software platform that underpins the production environment.
The engineer will collaborate with client and backend engineering teams to ensure efficient deployment and reliable operation of applications at scale.
Responsibilities include building fault-tolerant auto-scaling services and managing distributed cloud infrastructure.
The position requires curiosity and a desire to learn about systems, technologies, and tools.
The engineer will build cloud infrastructure capable of handling petabytes of data, millions of users, and hundreds of thousands of requests per minute.
Maintaining high site reliability is crucial, which includes rapid triage of production issues, regular upgrades, and proactive issue detection.
The engineer will produce solid code, develop diagnostic tools, automate tasks, and manage core infrastructure using technologies like Terraform, Python, and Go.
Mentorship and education on new technologies and best practices for team members is expected.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in backend server development.
Professional experience with high-level programming languages, specifically Python and Go, is required.
Experience in building and managing cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, and access controls, preferably using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like AWS and Terraform, is necessary.
Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and ECS is essential.
Candidates must be comfortable working in Linux command-line environments.
Experience with key-value data stores, such as Redis, is required.
Debugging and troubleshooting software systems experience is necessary.
A strong foundation in computer science, data structures, algorithms, and software design is expected.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while supporting multiple projects is essential.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills are required to thrive in a 100% remote team environment.
