Remote Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP)

Description:

• Gorilla Logic is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to work remotely in Colombia.
• The role involves collaborating with a team of developers and engineers to build infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing DevOps processes and tools on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• The engineer will set up and configure GCP services for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation.
• Managing source code repositories using Git and implementing branching and merging strategies is required.
• The position entails ensuring code versioning best practices are followed.
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GCP tools such as Cloud Build is a key responsibility.
• The engineer will implement and optimize deployment strategies for applications on GCP.
• Infrastructure as code will be managed using tools like Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration is expected.
• Containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes on GCP will be part of the role.
• Setting up monitoring and logging solutions using GCP Stackdriver or similar tools is required.
• Proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of issues is essential.
• Collaboration with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery is necessary.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on Google Cloud Platform is necessary.
• Strong proficiency in GCP services and tools is essential.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitLab CI is required.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation is necessary.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager is required.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is essential.
• Familiarity with networking, security, and cloud best practices is necessary.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are required.
