Remote Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP) (Remote, Poland)

Description:

• This is a remote contract position for those based in Poland, lasting until the end of February 2025.
• The role involves developing and optimizing cloud-based applications/platforms for clients.
• The ideal candidate will possess a modern DevOps mindset and excellent knowledge of the latest DevOps tools and technologies.
• Responsibilities include developing infrastructure to support cloud-based applications, creating deployment architecture and continuous delivery pipelines, designing high-availability approaches, and implementing monitoring architecture including dashboards, alerts, and escalations.

Requirements:

• Proficient communication in English, both oral and written, is essential.
• Candidates must have experience delivering at an enterprise level and in a remote agile environment.
• Experience managing and automating complex platforms/applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is required.
• Candidates should have experience working with containers and container orchestration, ideally including Kubernetes.
• Experience with infrastructure as code technology, ideally with Terraform, is necessary.
• Candidates must have experience with continuous integration (CI) and building continuous delivery (CD) pipelines, ideally with GitHub actions.
• Data storage experience with both RDBMS and NoSQL technologies is required.
• A solid understanding of observability practices across the stack is essential.
• Experience with security assessment frameworks (e.g., Soc2) and security awareness throughout the stack is necessary.
• Candidates must be able to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills are required to work with stakeholders and drive technical discussions in client-facing roles.
