MakroPRO is a new digital venture by the iconic Makro, aiming to build a technology platform for restaurant owners, hotels, and independent retailers.
The company seeks to transform the B2B marketplace ecosystem by bringing together top talent from multi-nationals.
The DevOps Engineer will help increase the speed of delivery, improve code quality/security, and optimize processes for the development team.
Responsibilities include identifying bottlenecks in development and delivery processes, improving the overall experience for developers, and managing infrastructure-as-code deployment tooling.
The role involves working closely with Tech Leads and developers to develop automation pipelines and CI/CD.
The engineer will develop self-serve tools for development teams to support the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
The position requires configuring infrastructure using IaaS/PaaS products and custom tools.
The engineer will participate in deploying application artifacts to target environments and in planning delivery time, code quality, and process efficiency improvement projects.
Maintenance tasks include infrastructure health checks and monitoring.
The role requires collaboration with the DevOps team to deliver consistent and holistic solutions.

Requirements:

Strong proficiency in Golang and experience in writing production-grade software using Golang is required.
Hands-on experience with developing Kubernetes controllers and custom resource definitions (CRDs) in Golang is necessary.
Candidates must have hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters, including kubeadm, EKS, GKE, and AKS.
Experience with AWS networking services such as VPC Peering, Transit Gateway, and PrivateLink is essential.
Familiarity with load balancing options in AWS, including ALB, NLB, and ELB, is required.
Experience in building self-service developer platforms is a must.
Exposure to GitOps workflows, specifically ArgoCD and FluxCD, is preferred.

The position offers a renewable contract for one year.
