Description:
The Senior DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to improve the development lifecycle, streamline deployment pipelines, and drive system reliability.
Responsibilities include building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure, understanding stakeholder needs, and developing solutions.
The role involves automating and improving development and release processes, ensuring systems are secure against cybersecurity threats, and monitoring processes for adherence and improvement.
The engineer will work as an individual contributor in the DevOps team, building and maintaining infrastructure, automating workflows, and ensuring smooth application delivery at scale.
The position requires setting strategic direction for the team regarding processes, tools, and automation to ensure efficient delivery of infrastructure and services.
The engineer will develop and enforce best practices, guidelines, and standard operating procedures related to DevOps processes.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a proven track record of delivering scalable, reliable systems.
Solid hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, RDS, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, WAF, Load Balancers, CloudWatch, EKS, API Gateway, Cognito, SES, SNS, AMI, and IAM is required.
Experience with GCP services, particularly Cloud Run and BigQuery, is also necessary.
Strong experience in Python programming is essential.
Proficiency in using infrastructure automation toolsets like Terraform is required.
Candidates should have experience working on Linux-based infrastructure and managing databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
Excellent troubleshooting techniques are necessary, along with the ability to deploy monitoring and logging infrastructure using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Nagios, Datadog, or similar.
Proficiency in container frameworks like Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm is required.
Experience in automating build, test, and deployment processes using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps is essential.
Desirable experience includes working with any Content Management System (CMS) to integrate and manage backend services.
