Description:

  • The Senior DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to improve the development lifecycle, streamline deployment pipelines, and drive system reliability.
  • Responsibilities include building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure, understanding stakeholder needs, and developing solutions.
  • The role involves automating and improving development and release processes, ensuring systems are secure against cybersecurity threats, and monitoring processes for adherence and improvement.
  • The engineer will work as an individual contributor in the DevOps team, building and maintaining infrastructure, automating workflows, and ensuring smooth application delivery at scale.
  • The position requires setting strategic direction for the team regarding processes, tools, and automation to ensure efficient delivery of infrastructure and services.
  • The engineer will develop and enforce best practices, guidelines, and standard operating procedures related to DevOps processes.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a proven track record of delivering scalable, reliable systems.
  • Solid hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, RDS, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, WAF, Load Balancers, CloudWatch, EKS, API Gateway, Cognito, SES, SNS, AMI, and IAM is required.
  • Experience with GCP services, particularly Cloud Run and BigQuery, is also necessary.
  • Strong experience in Python programming is essential.
  • Proficiency in using infrastructure automation toolsets like Terraform is required.
  • Candidates should have experience working on Linux-based infrastructure and managing databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
  • Excellent troubleshooting techniques are necessary, along with the ability to deploy monitoring and logging infrastructure using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Nagios, Datadog, or similar.
  • Proficiency in container frameworks like Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm is required.
  • Experience in automating build, test, and deployment processes using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps is essential.
  • Desirable experience includes working with any Content Management System (CMS) to integrate and manage backend services.
