Description:
Gorilla Logic is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to work remotely in Colombia or Costa Rica.
The role involves collaborating with a team of developers and engineers to build infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities include the strategy, design, implementation, and management of the CI/CD pipeline for automated deployment of products and services.
The engineer will implement automated Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and build tools to reduce errors and enhance customer experience.
The position requires scaling out and building monitoring capabilities for applications and infrastructure.
The engineer will maintain configuration management and source control systems for applications and infrastructure.
Responsibilities also include managing cloud and virtualized infrastructure and maintaining container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm for high availability and efficient resource usage.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of development experience, including DevOps and release management.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in building and managing a CI/CD pipeline environment is necessary.
At least 3 years of Linux experience in a development context is required.
Proficiency in shell scripting and/or scripting with Python, Go, or Groovy is essential.
Experience in deploying web and/or mobile applications to QA, staging, and production environments is required.
Familiarity with configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, and/or Ansible is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools like Terraform and CloudFormation is required.
Expert knowledge of source code management and Git strategies is essential.
The ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is a must.
Strong communication skills to interact with Agile team members are required.
Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are necessary.
