Description:

  • The Senior DevOps Engineer will work remotely in South America and is a full-time position.
  • This role is essential in bridging the gaps between complex systems to ensure seamless development, testing, and deployment of gaming projects.
  • Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines to streamline testing and deployment of code across different environments.
  • The engineer will collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate new technologies and methodologies into the development lifecycle.
  • The position involves deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing cloud-based production systems, ensuring their availability, performance, scalability, and security.
  • The engineer will monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments.
  • A culture of continuous improvement will be fostered by evaluating new tools, technologies, and processes to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role focused on operational development processes.
  • A solid grasp of automation tools, cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and scripting languages (Python, Bash) is required.
  • Expertise in continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) methodologies and tools (Jenkins, Travis CI, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions) is necessary.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) is expected.
  • Candidates should be adept at configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Experience in networking principles and security best practices is essential for ensuring robust and secure infrastructure configurations.
  • A strong understanding of code versioning tools, including Git, is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience is necessary.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving bottlenecks and issues, are essential.
