Description:
The Senior DevOps Engineer will work remotely in South America and is a full-time position.
This role is essential in bridging the gaps between complex systems to ensure seamless development, testing, and deployment of gaming projects.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines to streamline testing and deployment of code across different environments.
The engineer will collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate new technologies and methodologies into the development lifecycle.
The position involves deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing cloud-based production systems, ensuring their availability, performance, scalability, and security.
The engineer will monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments.
A culture of continuous improvement will be fostered by evaluating new tools, technologies, and processes to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role focused on operational development processes.
A solid grasp of automation tools, cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and scripting languages (Python, Bash) is required.
Expertise in continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) methodologies and tools (Jenkins, Travis CI, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions) is necessary.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) is expected.
Candidates should be adept at configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
Experience in networking principles and security best practices is essential for ensuring robust and secure infrastructure configurations.
A strong understanding of code versioning tools, including Git, is required.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience is necessary.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving bottlenecks and issues, are essential.
