3Pillar is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team in Guatemala, focusing on both on-premises and cloud environments.
The role involves streamlining processes, enhancing deployment strategies, and ensuring innovative projects operate efficiently and reliably.
Responsibilities include automating and optimizing processes using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, and implementing CI/CD pipelines to improve product quality and reduce time-to-market.
The engineer will manage cloud and on-prem systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability, with experience in AWS and Azure.
Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues to maintain high availability is a key responsibility.
Collaboration with development, testing, and operations teams is essential to promote continuous improvement and implement DevOps best practices.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
A minimum of 3 years of experience with proficiency in Java17 and JavaScript is necessary, demonstrating the ability to script and automate tasks.
At least 2 years of experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is required.
Demonstrable experience in DevOps with on-premises servers is essential.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including deployment and management of scalable systems, is required.
Expertise in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is necessary.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, New Relic, or Prometheus is required.
Strong experience in CI/CD with Azure DevOps is essential.
Knowledge of source control tools, particularly Git, is required.
Strong collaborative skills and exceptional English communication skills are necessary.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach, are required.
Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure while managing multiple priorities is essential.
