Description:

  • 3Pillar is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team in Guatemala, focusing on both on-premises and cloud environments.
  • The role involves streamlining processes, enhancing deployment strategies, and ensuring innovative projects operate efficiently and reliably.
  • Responsibilities include automating and optimizing processes using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, and implementing CI/CD pipelines to improve product quality and reduce time-to-market.
  • The engineer will manage cloud and on-prem systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability, with experience in AWS and Azure.
  • Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues to maintain high availability is a key responsibility.
  • Collaboration with development, testing, and operations teams is essential to promote continuous improvement and implement DevOps best practices.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with proficiency in Java17 and JavaScript is necessary, demonstrating the ability to script and automate tasks.
  • At least 2 years of experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is required.
  • Demonstrable experience in DevOps with on-premises servers is essential.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including deployment and management of scalable systems, is required.
  • Expertise in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is necessary.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, New Relic, or Prometheus is required.
  • Strong experience in CI/CD with Azure DevOps is essential.
  • Knowledge of source control tools, particularly Git, is required.
  • Strong collaborative skills and exceptional English communication skills are necessary.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach, are required.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure while managing multiple priorities is essential.
