Description:
ClickHouse is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for the Product Metrics team, responsible for designing, building, operating, and maintaining components of a petabyte-scale observability platform.
The role involves ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of the Product Metrics component, which is crucial for internal billing and customer-facing dashboards.
The engineer will actively participate in determining the roadmap for the Product Metrics component and work closely with the team to deliver and improve features.
Responsibilities include mentoring team members, participating in design discussions, and being part of an on-call rotation.
The engineer will also lead efforts to enhance observability across all engineering teams.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of relevant software development experience in building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
Proficiency in at least one programming language is required, with a preference for Go, but familiarity with Python, C, C++, Rust, or similar languages is acceptable.
Experience with major Cloud Service Providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with data streaming/message brokering systems like Kafka or RedPanda.
Familiarity with technologies such as Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, Temporal, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform is required.
