The Senior DevOps Engineer will help advance the mission of enabling everyone to easily capture, share, and experience video content.
Responsibilities include expanding, improving, and maintaining web applications and services, implementing and maintaining build and deployment processes, contributing to the architecture and design of video hosting services, ensuring high availability of services, and enforcing security standards.
Requirements:
Significant experience managing and maintaining large-scale web services using AWS is required.
Proficiency with AWS services such as Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, RDS, S3, VPCs, Security Groups, and Load Balancers is essential.
Hands-on experience deploying and configuring PHP, PHP-FPM, Redis, and MySQL is necessary.
Experience using Datadog to monitor a production environment is required.
Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, PHP, or similar languages are a must.
Familiarity with build automation and CI/CD deployment tools is required.
Experience with IT compliance, security assessments, and risk management requirements is necessary.
A solid understanding of networking protocols (including SSL), firewalls, and routing is essential.
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities are required.
A passion for delivering consumer-focused solutions and driving customer success is essential.
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision is necessary.
Familiarity with Jenkins or similar continuous integration/continuous delivery tools is required.
Experience conducting or working with penetration testing organizations is necessary.
Good to have experience with video hosting and HTML5 video streaming.
Familiarity with hosting and maintaining WordPress environments is a plus.
Knowledge of tools like Steampipe and Teleport is beneficial.
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is a plus.
Understanding and use of the Let’s Encrypt API for SSL certificate management is beneficial.
