Description:
An international company specializing in the development of modern operating systems for hosting providers is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its team.
The company has designed a number of products for web-hosting and has over 4,500 clients including Dell, GoDaddy, IBM, and Zoom.
Over 40 million websites worldwide are hosted on the company's servers.
Founded in 2009 in California, San Jose, the company now has more than 250 professionals from Europe and the USA.
The Senior DevOps Engineer will work on the fastest-growing product, providing automated kernel security updates without reboots for the most popular Linux distributions.
This is a fully remote position with flexible hours, allowing you to plan your day and work from anywhere in the world.
Key Responsibilities:
User management: onboarding/offboarding procedures and access management.
Server management: installing new and keeping track of existing production hosts on bare metal, public, and private cloud.
Managing DNS records, domain purchases, transfers, or discontinuations.
Security tasks: firewall configuration and regular OS updates.
Monitoring and incident resolution: responding to incidents and ensuring minimal disruption to services.
Create new services and integrate them into current infrastructure in alignment with the specifications provided by the development teams.
Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate routine administration tasks.
Write and maintain documentation for services, tasks, and procedures.
Requirements:
6+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer position (or similar).
Strong knowledge of Linux systems and networking technologies.
Strong understanding of RHEL and its derivative operating systems, including CentOS and AlmaLinux.
Experience with a variety of computing environments such as bare-metal servers, virtual machines, and containers.
Knowledge of how to monitor infrastructure components and services.
Familiarity with Ansible and other configuration management tools.
Experience with at least one commercial cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Knowledge of at least one common scripting language such as Bash or Python.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Gitlab or Jenkins.
Familiarity with the Git version control system.
English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
