Description:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will create tools, processes, and infrastructure to enable developers to efficiently and securely deploy and operate LegalMatch at scale.
This role emphasizes automation, cloud infrastructure enhancement, developer collaboration, and the implementation of robust security practices.
You will be responsible for building software, tools, and processes to enable engineers to move fast without incidents.
You will drive automation to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance system efficiency.
Collaborating with Engineering Teams to ensure smooth deployment of production services will be a key part of your role.
You will design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
Troubleshooting infrastructure, application, and network issues while enhancing monitoring systems will be part of your daily tasks.
You will ensure compliance by collaborating with teams to meet regulatory requirements.
Supporting developers and QA Engineers with testing environment changes and database updates will be expected.
You will assist teams in transitioning to self-managed deployments and releases.
Continuously improving system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency will be a focus.
Participation in on-call coverage and performing maintenance during non-business hours will be required.
Requirements:
To qualify for the role, you should have experience in most of the following areas.
You should possess a dynamic, learning-oriented, and high-performing approach to work.
A proactive, self-managing attitude with excellent troubleshooting and communication skills is essential.
You must be proficient in UNIX and LINUX operating systems, storage environments, file systems, and network protocols.
Knowledge of UNIX principles, file editing, UNIX commands, and file manipulation is required.
You should have experience with Windows, UNIX, LINUX, and LINUX shell scripting.
A solid understanding of networking, including routing, subnets, TCP, IP, VLANs, and UDP, is necessary.
You must have experience setting up, maintaining, and managing cloud infrastructure for web applications.
Proficiency in AWS services with best practices regarding security and scalability is required, including services like Beanstalk, ECS (Fargate), EC2, ECR, CloudFront, S3/EFS, RDS, Lambda, and Elasticache.
Experience with CloudWatch (setting up metrics and alarms), IAM (user permissions, service roles, policies), and VPC (subnet configuration, routing, security groups) is essential.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as AWS CDK (TypeScript) or similar, is required.
You should have experience with Docker and Docker-Compose.
Proficiency in Jenkins, including pipelines and shared libraries development in Groovy, is necessary.
