Remote Senior DevOps Engineer - SaaS Product (MS Azure)

Description:

• The position is for a Senior DevOps Engineer at ZigZag Global, a remote role based in Portugal.
• The role is permanent and full-time, requiring candidates to have the right to work in Portugal without visa sponsorship.
• ZigZag Global is an award-winning eCommerce returns business that helps retailers manage and re-sell their returns.
• The Senior DevOps Engineer will join a small, remotely distributed DevOps Team and work closely with the wider Platform team.
• Responsibilities include designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting ZigZag’s infrastructure and application architecture for their SaaS product hosted in Microsoft Azure.
• The role involves managing infrastructure, continuous integration and deployment, configuration management, monitoring and logging, security and compliance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Extensive experience in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role is necessary.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture is essential.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is required.
• A good understanding of helm and GitOps tools like ArgoCD and Flux is needed.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI is required.
• Practical experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus is essential.
• A solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance principles is necessary.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, are essential.
