Description:
The position is for a Senior DevOps Engineer at ZigZag Global, a remote role based in Portugal.
The role is permanent and full-time, requiring candidates to have the right to work in Portugal without visa sponsorship.
ZigZag Global is an award-winning eCommerce returns business that helps retailers manage and re-sell their returns.
The Senior DevOps Engineer will join a small, remotely distributed DevOps Team and work closely with the wider Platform team.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting ZigZag’s infrastructure and application architecture for their SaaS product hosted in Microsoft Azure.
The role involves managing infrastructure, continuous integration and deployment, configuration management, monitoring and logging, security and compliance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Extensive experience in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role is necessary.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture is essential.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is required.
A good understanding of helm and GitOps tools like ArgoCD and Flux is needed.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python is necessary.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI is required.
Practical experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus is essential.
A solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance principles is necessary.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are required.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, are essential.
