Description:
GameChanger is a remote-first tech company based in New York City, focused on enhancing youth sports experiences.
The company is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to improve observability and performance monitoring systems.
The role involves defining patterns and practices for the observability stack and supporting reliability initiatives.
Responsibilities include monitoring critical services, establishing standards, and ensuring a stable, secure, and scalable observability platform.
The position requires collaboration with various engineering teams and reports to the Cloud Infrastructure Team.
Key tasks include architecting and managing the cloud observability platform, developing custom dashboards, promoting SRE best practices, and building relationships with engineering teams.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience is required.
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role or a similar position is necessary.
Knowledge of Datadog or Prometheus services, as well as best practices for resiliency, scalability, and security, is essential.
Experience in developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and software, particularly with Terraform, TypeScript, Python, and other scripting languages, is required.
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, GitOps, and Agile methodologies is necessary, along with hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Github Actions, Gitlab CI, and Jenkins.
