Remote Senior DevOps Engineer/Ceph and SeaweedFS expert (worldwide remote)

Description:

• Design, deploy, and maintain storage clusters using Ceph and SeaweedFS to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Ceph/ SeaweedFS related issues, providing timely resolution to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate cluster solutions and ensure compatibility and performance optimization between different components.
• Upgrade hardware and expand storage capacity as needed.
• Conduct performance analysis and implement enhancements to optimize storage efficiency and responsiveness.
• Work on capacity planning and scaling strategies to accommodate future growth.
• Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard data stored in Ceph clusters and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide storage solutions aligned with organizational goals.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Ceph/ SeaweedFS Expert with successful cluster implementations.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux, Linux-based virtualization solutions (kvm, containers), RADOS, CephFS, and RBD.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Ansible) for efficient management of storage infrastructure.
• Experience with storage virtualization, containerized environments, Jenkins, Gitlab, Gerrit, Terraform, and monitoring solutions like Prometheus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
