Description:
Cyngn is a publicly traded autonomous vehicle company based in Menlo Park, CA, seeking innovative and experienced leaders to join their team.
The Senior DevOps Lead will architect and manage infrastructure across cloud and autonomous vehicle systems.
This role combines traditional cloud DevOps leadership with specialized expertise in robotics and autonomous systems infrastructure.
Responsibilities include leading cloud and vehicle infrastructure initiatives across AWS and ROS/Linux environments, designing scalable solutions, and establishing DevOps best practices.
The position involves driving observability, monitoring, incident response strategies, and optimizing performance and cost efficiency of resources.
The Senior DevOps Lead will mentor team members, manage on-call rotations, and lead security initiatives across infrastructure.
The role requires developing and maintaining documentation for system architecture and integration procedures.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 10+ years of relevant DevOps/Infrastructure experience.
A proven track record as a technical lead in platform or infrastructure teams is required.
Advanced expertise in AWS services, infrastructure as code (Terraform), and Kubernetes is necessary.
Strong experience with service mesh (Istio) and Helm/Kustomize is expected.
A deep understanding of ROS/ROS2 and Linux kernel configurations is essential.
Experience with GPU configurations and ML infrastructure is required.
Candidates should have expertise in ARM and NVIDIA CUDA platform configurations.
Strong programming skills in Python and shell scripting are necessary.
Experience with infrastructure automation (Ansible) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) is required.
Strong system architecture and design skills, along with excellence in technical documentation, are essential.
Outstanding problem-solving abilities and strong leadership and mentoring capabilities are required.
