Description:
Join Divio as a Senior DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer and be part of a small cloud management/hosting provider focused on ambitious goals.
Manage the overall performance, security, cost-effectiveness, and reliability of the cloud infrastructure.
Oversee the entire software development life cycle, creating robust solutions that adhere to security and engineering principles.
Constantly monitor and improve the system while automating manual tasks.
Provide Level 3 support by swiftly responding to client queries and participating in the on-call rotation.
Bring your own ideas to the table and contribute to a culture of excellence within the SRE/engineering team.
Anticipate problems proactively, communicate risks early, and take responsibility for your work.
Foster a collaborative environment by helping team members grow and seeking assistance from more experienced colleagues.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and enjoy a recruitment process consisting of three steps.
Requirements:
Must have very good expertise in Docker, IaaS providers, and Cloud Native Technologies (AWS, Azure).
Proficient in Linux system administration and optimization.
Strong understanding of the TCP/IP network stack, web-related protocols (HTTP, TLS, DNS), and load-balancing.
Experience with configuration management software such as Ansible and Terraform.
Important expertise in backing services like PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, and ElasticSearch, including setup, administration, scaling, and monitoring.
Experience in programming, with a strong preference for Python, and familiarity with other languages like Go and Java.
Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
Familiarity with Git is required.
Nice to have experience with Django or other Python-based web frameworks, other cloud providers (e.g., Google Cloud), and TypeScript.
Core competencies include professionalism in client interactions, reliability, ability to handle context switching, teamwork in intercultural and remote settings, excellent English communication skills, and a strong desire to learn and improve.
