Description:

  • Ascend is a fast-growing SaaS company that automates accounts payable processing for mid-market and large enterprise customers through text extraction, machine learning, and integration into financial systems.
  • The Senior DevOps SRE will design, architect, deploy, and maintain enterprise-class SaaS infrastructure, monitoring, observability, traceability, tooling, and automation.
  • This role requires proactive problem-solving to enhance and create solutions to complex issues.
  • Daily responsibilities include debugging production issues, planning infrastructure growth, delivering on system SLAs, monitoring systems, addressing security issues, conducting research for new software, and managing log analysis systems.
  • The position is fully remote, offering competitive pay and unlimited time off, with a salary range of $140,000 - $150,000.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Candidates must have at least 7 years of experience in infrastructure roles such as DevOps, TechOps, SRE, or ITOps.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a senior-level role with proven success is necessary.
  • Strong soft skills are essential, including great people skills, a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and leadership abilities.
  • Hard skills required include deep experience with Amazon Web Services, expertise in Linux system administration, and experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform.
  • Candidates should also have experience with observability and monitoring tools, as well as CI/CD processes.
