Apogee Travel is seeking a Senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer to contribute to the establishment of their platform in the travel/fintech sector.
The role involves hands-on work within a small team covering the entire technology stack in an Agile environment.
The ideal candidate should have expertise in Docker and Kubernetes for managing a microservices architecture in a Polycloud setting.
Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node is essential for delivering top-notch solutions with a focus on user experience, high-performance architecture, and quality.

General Responsibilities:

Translate requirements into a secure, scalable Polycloud microservices platform.
Maintain platform infrastructure including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, security, and disaster recovery.
Troubleshoot system weaknesses and propose solutions.
Collaborate with team members for effective communication.
Stay updated on technology trends to contribute to the team's growth.

Must reside and work in the continental United States.
7+ years of relevant work experience.
4+ years of experience with Kubernetes and a container runtime.
3+ years of experience with cloud environments like AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
Proficiency in CI/CD practices and tools.
Knowledge of data management technologies and log management/analytics tools.
Familiarity with testing frameworks and microservices in Node.
Understanding of engineering best practices and Agile methodologies.

Bonus Points:

Experience with messaging frameworks, modern user experiences with React/React Native, payment gateways, and travel platforms.
