Remote Senior DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer

• The position is for a mid-senior level Software Engineer with 5-10 years of professional experience in DevOps/Infrastructure development.
• The primary objective is to help scale the backend data infrastructure securely and reliably.
• The infrastructure is hosted on AWS and utilizes Terraform for management, including sensor data ingestion, machine learning pipelines, and containerized microservices on Lambda with Python/FastAPI.
• Responsibilities include maintaining and scaling the infrastructure, building CI/CD pipelines, and developing a comprehensive testing infrastructure.
• The most important problem to address is ensuring the infrastructure can handle massive amounts of real-time data from thousands of sensors in hundreds of warehouses.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering roles with a focus on cloud environments.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation is required.
• Familiarity with common AWS Services, including Data Warehouses/Lakes (AWS Athena), Lambda, API Gateway, Kinesis, Firehose, S3, and EC2, is necessary.
• Candidates should have familiarity with Docker.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar is essential.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack is required.
• A solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices is necessary.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are essential.
