Remote Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Description:

• VivSoft, an emerging technology company, is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to work on a critical Department of Defense (DoD) project.
• The role involves leading the design, implementation, and management of secure DevOps practices to ensure efficient and secure systems.
• Responsibilities include defining and implementing DevSecOps strategies, developing secure CI/CD pipelines, automating security controls, and providing technical leadership to junior engineers.
• The position requires conducting security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing, as well as ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements and frameworks.
• The Senior DevSecOps Engineer will also stay updated on emerging DevSecOps tools and technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement in security posture.

Requirements:

• Must have an active DoD security clearance.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or a related field, with a focus on security in a DoD or government environment.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS, DoD STIGs, and security tools like SAST, DAST, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities across diverse teams.
