Description:

  • Xometry is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to enhance cybersecurity within the software development lifecycle.
  • The role requires collaboration with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining security automation tools to manage vulnerabilities.
  • The engineer will develop and enforce security policies for both cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Regular security assessments, including code reviews and penetration tests, will be performed to ensure application and infrastructure security.
  • The position involves implementing and managing security tools such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
  • The engineer will work with development teams to promote secure coding practices and compliance with security standards.
  • Leading efforts to secure Kubernetes clusters and containerized environments is a key responsibility.
  • The role includes managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Automation of security tasks using Python and shell scripting is required.
  • Staying updated on security threats and participating in incident response and disaster recovery planning are essential.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or a related field with a strong focus on security.
  • Experience with AWS or deep fluency in GCP or Azure is required, with a desire to expand knowledge into AWS.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Github Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including securing and managing production clusters, is essential.
  • Candidates must be proficient with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, OpenTofu, or CloudFormation.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and shell scripting for automation tasks are required.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, including secure coding and access control, is necessary.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues are required.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical security information to non-technical stakeholders are essential.
  • Candidates must be US Citizens or legal permanent residents.
