We are a Polish branch of a fast-growing InsurTech product company from Silicon Valley, Hippo Insurance, aiming to revolutionize home insurance in the US.
We are looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to tackle complex challenges in engineering, data, and operations.
The role involves expanding our suite of products, supporting both mature offerings and new MVPs.
You will be responsible for building a world-class, scalable, and resilient security infrastructure for the Hippo platform.
You will boost developer productivity by integrating security tools and processes into our CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems.
The position requires working with various cloud providers, databases, and a range of security tools.
Daily tasks will include using Golang, Python, and other scripting languages to automate security operations and develop secure APIs.
You will have creative freedom and ownership of your projects, with opportunities for skill development and learning about the US tech business.

Requirements:

You must have at least 6 years of experience in Security Operations (SecOps), cybersecurity, systems engineering, or related fields.
Proficiency in Golang, Python, or Bash is required.
Experience with security frameworks such as OWASP, NIST, or SANS is necessary.
You should have knowledge of Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS).
Networking experience with AWS VPC or GCP, including understanding network security, security groups, and ACLs, is essential.
Experience securing CDN configurations and integrating them into a broader security strategy is required.
You must be able to recognize and defend against common CDN attack vectors like DDoS attacks.
Hands-on experience with tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD systems with integrated security is necessary.
Familiarity with Terraform and security logging and metrics systems is required.
Knowledge of authentication protocols like SAML, OIDC, or OAuth is essential.
You should enjoy working in a small, focused, and highly efficient team.
A good command of English (written & spoken) is required.
Availability in the afternoons for collaboration with the United States is necessary.

The salary ranges from 24,000 to 30,000 PLN + VAT on B2B or equivalent on the contract of employment.
