Description:
Loopio is seeking a Senior Director of Data Science and Machine Learning to lead a team focused on transforming the RFP response process.
The role involves fostering a thriving culture, product execution, and innovation within the Senior Product Leadership team.
Responsibilities include leading the development of advanced automation tooling for data orchestration, evaluation, testing, monitoring, administration, and data operations.
The candidate will inspire and lead a team of Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers, setting clear objectives and promoting innovation.
The position requires the development of scalable data pipelines using Databricks and AWS technologies.
The Senior Director will build, deploy, and operate production ML models to enhance the product experience.
The role reports to the Chief Product Officer and involves close collaboration with Senior Product Leaders and business stakeholders.
Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in leading high-performing machine learning or data science teams in fast-paced environments is required.
Deep expertise in machine learning or data science, with experience in advanced ML algorithms and frameworks, as well as NLP/NLU.
Proven experience in building, deploying, and operating ML/AI-powered customer-facing products at scale is essential.
Strong strategic problem-solving skills to align technical principles with business priorities are necessary.
Proficiency in distributed systems development using microservices architecture and Public Cloud platforms is required.
Prior experience in Data Warehousing and a solid understanding of Data Lake architecture and design are needed.
Skills in designing and implementing cloud-based training pipelines and deep learning algorithms are essential.
The candidate must have a track record of delivering large-scale, customer-facing, mission-critical products in agile, high-growth B2B SaaS environments.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required to articulate technical roadmaps and solutions effectively.
Proven ability to inspire and lead teams through complex situations is necessary.
Strong business acumen with an understanding of cost models across multiple products is required.
Experience in building and maintaining large-scale systems in production environments is essential.
