Remote Senior Drupal Developer

Description:

• VERB, a digital marketing and technology agency in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is seeking a Senior Drupal Developer to work on web-based platforms for global clients.
• The Senior Developer will mentor other team members, establish best practices, and collaborate on platform builds.
• Responsibilities include creating and maintaining web-based platforms, building website layouts/interfaces, integrating modules and third-party applications, building API integrations, reviewing code, and collaborating with the project team.
• The role also involves quoting large-scale projects, identifying opportunities for improvement, participating in project stand-ups and sprint reviews, training team members, and tracking projects using Jira.
• The Senior Developer must have at least 5 years of professional web development experience, expertise in Drupal or other CMS's, experience with LAMP-stack technologies, and proficiency in modern PHP development practices.
• Other requirements include creating custom components/modules, cross-browser compatible HTML/CSS/JavaScript, CLI proficiency, Git knowledge, and familiarity with web infrastructure technologies.
• Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, self-direction, organization, and attention to detail are essential for this role.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional web development experience
• Experience with Drupal, WordPress, or other CMS's
• Proficiency in LAMP-stack technologies
• Familiarity with modern PHP development practices and tools
• Ability to create custom components/modules/plug-ins for CMS-based websites
• Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Comfortable using CLI and Git
• Knowledge of web infrastructure technologies like SSL and DNS
• Ability to communicate project updates and issues to stakeholders
• Up-to-date with software development best practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment
