Bixal is seeking a Senior Drupal Engineer to work remotely from anywhere in the USA.
The role involves building and maintaining the VA.gov Facilities and Public Website ecosystem under the SPRUCE contract.
Responsibilities include ensuring the scalability, performance, and security of Drupal-based applications that provide critical services to Veterans and their families.
The position is full-time and contingent on contract award, with a performance period of up to one year and the possibility of two one-year extensions.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Candidates must have experience in Drupal development, particularly in Drupal 9/10, including custom module development, theming, and configuration management.
Experience with decoupled architectures and integrating Drupal with front-end frameworks like Next.js, React, or Vue.js is necessary.
A strong understanding of GraphQL, REST APIs, and JSON API for headless Drupal implementations is required.
Familiarity with federal digital service guidelines and accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG) is essential.
Experience with Agile development methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows is needed.
Candidates should have experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar).
The ability to troubleshoot and optimize database queries and caching strategies is required.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams, are necessary.
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

The position offers a salary range of $112,000 - $117,000 a year.
