Remote Senior Electrical Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Electrical Engineer position at AECOM Water involves leading and supporting design efforts for various water infrastructure projects such as treatment facilities, pump stations, and conveyance.
• The role includes presenting complex technical solutions to clients and participating in the development of technical proposals.
• Responsibilities also entail designing low voltage and medium voltage electrical distribution systems and building services.
• The engineer will prepare engineering studies, reports, calculations, designs, specifications, and construction cost estimates in compliance with applicable code and standard requirements.
• They will establish electrical equipment performance parameters based on project requirements and coordinate with equipment vendors for selections.
• Managing designs during construction, providing quality assurance oversight, and conducting independent quality control reviews are part of the job.
• The engineer will collaborate with design professionals and project managers in other US offices and occasionally internationally.
• Other duties include performing electrical system designs, design for lighting, fire alarm, telephone, security, and grounding systems, and preparing design drawings.

Requirements:

• Minimum requirement: BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of Electrical design experience related to water treatment facilities, pump stations, or water infrastructure.
• Being licensed as a Professional Engineer is preferred.
• Proficiency with electrical design software like AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, and Amp Calc is desired.
• Experience with project management from small, discipline-specific to larger multidiscipline projects is a plus.
• The ideal candidate should be a proven problem solver, able to grasp complex concepts readily, and apply passion and leadership in a collaborative work environment.
