Remote Senior Elixir Engineer

Description:

• ActiveProspect is seeking a Senior Elixir Engineer to enhance and scale their TrustedForm offering, which processes 15,000 user events per second and manages terabytes of data daily.
• The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining highly available and high-performance Elixir applications while ensuring system reliability and scalability.
• The position is primarily backend-focused, utilizing Elixir and Phoenix, but experience with JavaScript and Vue.js is considered a strong plus.
• Responsibilities include developing and maintaining Elixir applications with Phoenix, PostgreSQL, and AWS, translating business requirements into reliable software solutions, ensuring system performance in a high-traffic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in technical decision-making processes.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of Elixir development experience, specifically with OTP and the Phoenix framework.
• Experience in working on high-traffic, highly concurrent applications is required.
• A strong understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, and backend architecture is necessary.
• The ability to make technical trade-offs and contribute to key engineering decisions is essential.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are required to work effectively across teams.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and the ability to maintain a JavaScript codebase is expected.
