Remote Senior ELK (Elastic Search)Engineer (Only W2)

Description:

• Design and implement ELK (Elastic Search, Logstash, and Kibana) solutions.
• Hands-on experience in creating and managing indexes in Elasticsearch based on requirements.
• Proficient in writing JSON queries to select, insert, update, and delete data in Elasticsearch.
• Extensive experience in at least one observability pillar: Logs, Metrics, APM, Synthetic Monitoring, or Profiling.
• Design and implement solutions for centralized logs, infrastructure and health metrics, distributed tracing for different applications.
• Experience with both on-premises and cloud instances.
• Fine-tune bulk load processes.
• Provide Elastic Search tuning and optimization based on application needs.
• Create and troubleshoot Dashboards on Kibana.
• Contribute to team design discussions with detailed technical information.
• Develop code with quality, scalability, and extensibility.
• Provide work breakdown and estimates for new requirements.
• Identify strategic/tactical solutions, provide risk assessments, and recommendations.
• Influence other teams and engineering groups in adopting logging best practices.
• Troubleshoot problems, involve appropriate resources, and drive issue resolution with a focus on minimizing customer impact.
• Apply best practices for managing clusters, scaling, and capacity planning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a great teammate with strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in designing and implementing ELK solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch index management.
• Ability to write JSON queries for data operations in Elasticsearch.
• Experience in at least one observability pillar: Logs, Metrics, APM, Synthetic Monitoring, or Profiling.
• Knowledge of centralized logs, infrastructure, health metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Familiarity with on-premises and cloud instances.
• Skills in fine-tuning bulk load processes.
• Expertise in Elastic Search tuning and optimization.
