Remote Senior Embedded Developer (OpenWrt)

Description:

• Remotebase is seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Developer for an OpenWRT project.
• The project involves embedding encryption and managing IP packet data within the eBPF/XDP Linux kernel space.
• This is a short-term and immediate project aimed at enhancing and extending an existing cloud communications code base.
• The ideal candidate should possess advanced problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in the C programming language, OpenWRT, WireGuard, eBPF, XDP, and IP packet protocols is required.
• Proven commercial experience working in the Linux kernel, specifically with AWS and OpenWRT routers, is necessary.
• A working knowledge of symmetric and public key encryption, key management, and certificates is a plus.
• Proven experience in API development for SQL and application interfaces is required.
• Experience in system software development through a stable and deployable SaaS solution is necessary.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
• The ability to produce comprehensive documentation at the technical level is required.
