Remote Senior Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Engineer position at Accertify involves using software development skills to enhance the fraud protection platform and products for leading brands.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with business representatives, Lead Developers, and the Director of Software Development to design, build, and test new features.
• The role requires proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, SQL, Linux, git, and gradle to create fast, scalable, and flexible software solutions.
• Day-to-day tasks include writing code, participating in requirement gathering, peer code reviews, and optimizing code for usability, performance, and scalability.

Requirements:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills are essential for this role.
• Three years of software development experience as a Java developer in a high-volume transactional environment is required.
• Proficiency in Java using the Spring Boot framework and JavaScript ES6 is necessary.
• Familiarity with relational databases (SQL, JDBC – Oracle, MySQL, or Postgres preferred) and basic programming constructs is expected.
• Preferred qualifications include exposure to modern front-end technologies, Linux, macOS, HTML5, SpringMVC, Git, and Gradle/dependency libraries.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is strongly preferred.
