Description:

The role involves implementing a hub and spoke model on GCP for multi-tenant environments, collaborating closely with the architecture team.
Responsibilities include implementing multi-region resilience, security, and cloud-agnostic infrastructure.
The candidate will set up GCP environments, including networking architecture, IAM roles, and robust security configurations.
The position requires deploying and managing GKE clusters, Istio service mesh, and K8s services across GCP and Azure environments.
The use of Terraform, Helm, Argo CD, and GitLab CI/CD for infrastructure as code implementation is essential.
The role demands implementing solutions that ensure high availability, resilience, and optimal performance.
The candidate must ensure that security best practices, compliance standards, governance, policies, and well-architected framework principles are met.
Facilitating seamless integration and knowledge transfer within internal teams is a key responsibility.
Comprehensive documentation creation is also required.

Requirements:

The candidate must have expertise in GCP and a strong understanding of networking, including service meshes (Istio) and multi-cluster setups.
Extensive experience with Kubernetes is mandatory.
Proficiency in Terraform and Helm for infrastructure as code deployments is required.
Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines is necessary.
The candidate should be proficient in Python and GoLang for scripting, automation, and developing custom controllers.
Leading experience is required only for the Lead position.
Knowledge of security best practices, governance, and compliance standards is a nice-to-have skill.
Familiarity with well-architected cloud framework principles is also preferred.
Experience in working with Architects is considered a plus.

The position allows for remote work from Portugal.
It involves project-based collaboration, providing flexibility in work arrangements.
Daily rates range from 270-290 euros gross/day, with potential for higher rates for the lead role.
