We are seeking a Senior Engineer (DevOps) to join our Platform Engineering team, suitable for individuals who excel in fast-paced environments and enjoy tackling infrastructure challenges at scale.
The role involves treating internal platforms like products, focusing on velocity.
You will design, build, and maintain infrastructure systems that support NetBox Labsβ SaaS and internal engineering needs.
Responsibilities include operating and optimizing AWS and other cloud infrastructure with an emphasis on cost efficiency, security, and performance.
You will contribute to internal platform tooling, CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions, and enhance developer self-service capabilities.
The role also involves improving observability and incident response systems, including monitoring, alerting, and SLOs.
Collaboration with stream-aligned product teams is essential to understand their needs and continuously enhance internal platforms.
You will help enforce and improve security and compliance standards, including SOC 2 controls.
Contributions to documentation, onboarding materials, and internal support processes are expected.
Participation in on-call rotation for infrastructure and platform services is required.
Mentoring and sharing knowledge with team members to elevate the overall team's expertise is also part of the role.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience at a B2B software startup is required.
Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, etc.), particularly EKS/Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Helm is essential.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling, ideally GitHub Actions, is necessary.
Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or similar is required.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or shell scripting is expected.
Candidates should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
Strong communication and documentation skills are essential for this position.
Benefits:
The position offers the opportunity to work in a remote-first team with colleagues located worldwide, promoting strong communication skills and an open, transparent culture.
Employees will have access to collaboration tools such as Google Apps, Slack, Zoom, and Notion for real-time and asynchronous work.
The company organizes annual events, industry conferences, and meetups to foster team bonding and professional development.
NetBox Labs values innovation, attention to detail, and continuous improvement in its platform and methodologies, providing a supportive work environment.
