Description:

  • The Senior Engineer will join the Bellese MPSM Team, which supports the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in modernizing the Medicare Payment System.
  • The team employs a research-driven, user-centered, agile, and adaptive product development approach.
  • Responsibilities include influencing team dynamics, researching and introducing new technologies, owning technical design and development, mentoring team members, and enforcing team processes.
  • The role involves API development, data management, applying SDLC phases, collaboration with stakeholders, maintaining documentation, implementing security measures, driving continuous improvement, automating tasks, UI design and development, and ensuring accessibility compliance.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates must have 10+ years of work experience in relevant fields.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation is expected.
  • Experience in backend development using Java 17+, Spring Boot, Maven, and OpenAPI/Swagger is necessary.
  • Familiarity with testing tools such as JUnit, Postman, Newman, and SonarQube is required.
  • Knowledge of AWS services including Fargate/ECS, RDS, and CloudWatch is essential.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, and Docker is needed.
  • Proficiency in Agile development methodologies and tools such as GitHub, Jira, and Confluence is required.
  • Bonus qualifications include familiarity with HL7 FHIR and experience in identifying and implementing test cases for unit and integration testing with a focus on automation.
  • Candidates must be U.S. citizens or have documented proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. and have lived in the U.S. for at least the past 3 years.
