Remote Senior Engineer (Golang)

Description:

• Velotio Technologies is seeking a Senior Engineer (Golang) to join their team in Pune, India.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for influencing the edge compute strategy, making critical technical decisions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions.
• They will design, deploy, and maintain cloud-native solutions for edge computing environments, manage distributed Kubernetes clusters on the edge, and implement robust security measures to protect infrastructure and data.
• The role involves team leadership, overseeing project planning and execution, and fostering a positive work environment for professional growth and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Expert programming skills in Python and Golang are essential.
• 5+ years of experience with cloud-native technologies and architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Linux environment and embedded systems based on Linux.
• Expertise in edge computing frameworks and platforms such as k8s, k3s, and KubeEdge.
• Proficiency in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters in edge computing environments.
• Strong understanding of orchestration principles, high availability (HA), scalability, and best practices.
• Experience implementing security solutions for edge computing infrastructure.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols, particularly in edge computing scenarios.
• Experience with edge device management and integration.
• Certification in Kubernetes or relevant cloud technologies is preferred.
