Remote Senior Engineer Manager - Security Platform

Description:

• The Senior Engineering Manager for the Security Platform at Twitch will lead a team of software engineers and security engineers in developing critical tools and automation solutions used across the platform.
• Reporting to the Director of Identity, Privacy, and Security Platforms, you will oversee the operation of the security data platform handling billions of weekly events and a multi-petabyte data lake.
• You will manage engineers responsible for writing software to enhance security through automation, libraries, and services, supporting programs like Data Governance, Detection and Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, and Privacy.
• Responsibilities include guiding problem identification, measurement, and execution, collaborating with teams across the company, and evolving the Twitch Security Platform.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager or team lead.
• 1+ years of working with task management tools like Jira.
• Knowledge of AWS services, open source technologies, ETL tools, and data warehousing solutions.
• Experience in hiring and developing remote engineers.
• Ability to gather feedback from customers to influence engineering prioritization.
