Remote Senior Engineer - Product Reporting and Analytics (.NET, C#, Power BI)

Description:

• Skimmer, a private equity-backed company, is seeking a Senior Engineer with expertise in Power BI, .NET 8, and C# to develop and integrate advanced reporting and analytics features into their pool service software.
• The role involves designing and building scalable reporting solutions using Power BI, integrating them seamlessly with .NET 8 and C# applications.
• Responsibilities include creating interactive Power BI reports and dashboards for actionable insights, providing technical leadership, collaborating with stakeholders, optimizing performance, ensuring smooth data integration, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining documentation.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years in software engineering with a focus on Power BI, .NET, and C#.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Power BI report development, data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and data visualization.
  • Experience in embedding Power BI in customer-facing applications.
  • Proficiency in .NET 8 and C# for application development.
• Data Integration: Experience integrating Power BI with SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and other data platforms.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex reporting and data issues.
• Leadership: Proven experience leading technical projects and mentoring junior engineers.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
