Description:
Bellese Technologies is seeking a Senior Engineer, UI/UX to help solve significant problems in healthcare.
The role involves developing performant, elegant, and useful solutions for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and their providers and beneficiaries.
The team supports CMS in modernizing the Medicare Payment System using a research-driven, user-centered, agile, and adaptive product development approach.
Responsibilities include influencing the team, researching and introducing new technologies, owning technical design and development, mentoring team members, enforcing team processes, and ensuring understanding of benefits and tradeoffs.
The position requires designing and developing user interfaces based on UX designs, understanding user accessibility needs, and ensuring compliance with 508 standards.
The engineer will apply all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to deliver, monitor, and maintain robust, scalable, and optimized solutions.
Collaboration with teammates, external teams, and client stakeholders is essential to align products with user needs and objectives.
Clear documentation of related products is necessary to assist the team and stakeholders.
The role includes implementing security measures to protect sensitive data and systems, continuously evaluating new tools and techniques, and automating repetitive tasks within the SDLC.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 10+ years of work experience.
Participation in an on-call rotation is expected.
Proficiency in frontend development using Typescript, React, Redux, Vite, Jest, and Playwright is necessary.
Experience in building web applications with role-based access control, preferably with Okta, is required.
Knowledge of accessibility testing and frontend automation testing using tools such as Axe and Playwright is essential.
Familiarity with AWS services, including Fargate/ECS, RDS, CloudWatch, and Cognito, is required.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, and Docker is necessary.
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and tools, including GitHub, Jira, and Confluence, is required.
Bonus qualifications include familiarity with HL7 FHIR, experience in identifying and implementing test cases for unit and integration testing, and backend development experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, Maven, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens or have documented proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. and have been living in the U.S. for at least the past three years.
Successful candidates will undergo a background investigation by the government and must meet the requirements to hold a position of Public Trust.
