Description:
- The Senior Engineering Manager will lead the iOS Platform team at Reddit, setting the technical direction for iOS development.
- Responsibilities include improving developer efficiency, monitoring performance, building shared components, and owning core components like networking and caching.
- The role involves collaborating cross-functionally to innovate and enhance internal frameworks and tooling for Reddit's feature teams.
- The Engineering Manager will be crucial in delivering a performant experience to millions of Redditors and leading architectural decision-making for Reddit's iOS engineering organization.
Requirements:
- Preferred: 6+ years of experience leading software engineers as a people manager.
- 8+ years of experience in internet-scale software development, preferably in Mobile or Platform development.
- Strong experience in setting goals, execution, and accountability.
- Proficiency in iOS native mobile platform, Swift, Obj-c, Java, Python, Go, and general-purpose programming languages.
- Strong organizational, influential, prioritization, and project scheduling skills.
- Excellent communication, planning, and collaboration abilities.
