Description:
The Senior FinOps-DevOps Engineer at Sinch will be responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and implementing cost-saving actions across different cloud vendors.
They will design, automate, implement, and maintain a sustainable landing zone aligned with cloud vendor best practices and global compliancy frameworks.
The engineer will maintain various terraform projects encompassing FinOps, security, governance processes, and policy management.
Responsibilities also include maintaining and supporting FinOps tools like Cloudability and AWS Quicksight.
The role involves dissecting billing data, identifying areas for optimization, evangelizing cloud vendor best practices, and maintaining cloud governance processes.
Knowledge of vendor Identity Access Management (IAM) and documentation on Confluence for stakeholder guidance is essential.
The engineer should be willing to learn new tools and expand their skills beyond their comfort zones.
Requirements:
Strong experience with AWS and their cloud services.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or CrossPlane.
Proactive, independent, and driven with excellent communication skills.
Basic knowledge of FinOps, cloud optimization, and cloud cost management.
Familiarity with cloud design patterns, operations, and cost models, with experience in implementing best practices.
