Description:

The Senior FinOps Solutions Engineer will support the Autonomous Discount Management for Azure offering by assisting prospects and customers in solving complex cloud cost optimization problems.
Responsibilities include performing Cloud Cost Optimization analysis, being a Subject Matter Expert on Reservations, Azure Spot VMs, and Savings Plans for Compute, working with Sales and Customer Operations, developing new optimization services, creating and delivering demos, scoping Savings Analysis configurations, and assisting with building features and automation.
The role involves collaborating with the Product team and other FinOps Specialists to enhance customer discounts and reports.
The ideal candidate should have deep experience in the FinOps discipline, strong computational skills, and a startup mentality to solve problems and create playbooks.

Requirements:

2+ years experience in a FinOps or Engineering role with a cloud service provider, consultancy, or company using Azure at scale.
Prior experience as an Analyst or Presales Engineer is highly preferred.
Hands-on experience with Azure Cost Management and Billing Tools, 3rd party cloud management platforms, or home-grown applications.
Strong computation, writing, and communication skills are required.
Ability to make API calls, run queries, and experience with PowerBI, Azure Synapse, and Command Line is a plus.
