Remote Senior Front End Developer

Description:

• The Senior Front End Developer at Detroit Labs will work with project teams to develop maintainable, accessible, and performant software that meets acceptance criteria.
• They will write documentation for the software and project to ensure a shared understanding of how things work.
• Collaboration with other roles to create intuitive, scalable, and secure user experiences is essential.
• The developer will review and learn from each other's code, estimate features, and fulfill development commitments to launch software projects on time.
• Communication with non-developer groups, including the client, to aid in solution architecting and scoping out project work is a key responsibility.
• The role involves adapting to new technologies and methodologies and incorporating them into ongoing work.
• Supporting, mentoring, and guiding teammates by providing thoughtful actionable feedback is crucial for the success of project delivery.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience building production-ready, testable JavaScript applications using technologies like TypeScript, React, Next.js, MaterialUI, or Tailwind.
• Experience with web services, networking concepts, authentication, security best practices, responsive user layouts, basic animations, multiple software architectures, accessibility best practices (WCAG), and security best practices (OWASP).
• Experience mentoring other developers within the web ecosystem.
• Willingness to learn and grow in understanding justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
