Description:
The Senior Front End Engineer is responsible for creating clean, efficient, standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript across a wide range of web sites and web applications.
The Senior Front End handles the most complex tasks alongside the Lead and is expected to need very little to no help when working on a large/complex module or problem.
Seniors are self-starters and efficient with front end technologies.
Responsibilities include taking on any size and complexity of Front End projects, delivering the Front End portion of projects on time and on budget, and evaluating frameworks, technologies, and tools for relevance to projects.
The role requires close collaboration with team members from various departments and the use of AI development tools to enhance coding efficiency.
Staying current with emerging technologies and tools, managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and writing the majority of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript based on prototypes and designs are key tasks.
The Senior Front End Engineer will also maintain and fix bugs across multiple projects, ensure standards are kept throughout the front end code, and perform smoke tests on various devices and browsers.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years in similar roles and 3+ years working with React.
Agency experience is required, along with proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and a track record of successful project delivery.
Experience leveraging AI-powered tools like Cursor and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development and maintain high code quality is essential.
A strong understanding of web development standards and best practices, familiarity with version control systems like Git, and previous experience in developing large-scale websites and web applications are necessary.
Nice to have qualifications include knowledge of GraphQL, Sitecore or other enterprise CMS experience, Tailwind and/or Bootstrap experience, NextJS, and NodeJS.
Attention to detail, strong collaboration skills, effective interpersonal and communication skills, good judgment, and problem-solving skills are also important.
