Description:

  • Float is seeking a Senior Front End Performance Engineer to optimize the performance of their web application for larger teams.
  • The role is critical for ensuring Float remains a best-in-class resource management tool, providing a smooth experience for users.
  • Responsibilities include upgrading to React 19, optimizing the performance of the Schedule feature, and stabilizing the internal performance test suite.
  • The engineer will contribute to front-end performance, define performance-oriented tooling, and own the roadmap for performance initiatives.
  • The position requires collaboration with a global team and a focus on creating simple and intuitive solutions for customers.
  • The role reports to Haakon, the Team Lead (Interfaces), and involves working asynchronously with a dedicated team.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Javascript/Typescript and React is essential.
  • Experience in optimizing React applications is required.
  • Candidates should have ownership or strong contributions to front-end performance on products with large user bases and high data volumes.
  • A customer-oriented mindset and an investigative approach are necessary for success in this role.
  • High levels of autonomy and comfort with asynchronous communication are expected, along with previous remote work experience.
