Remote Senior Front-end Software Engineer (Full-Time Contractor)

Description:

• Seeking Senior Front-End Engineers (full-time contractors) in South America to assist with company growth and expansion.
• Focus on building frontend experiences in React, with familiarity in Ruby on Rails as a plus.
• Work in a collaborative environment with Product and Design teams to create customer-centric experiences.
• Engage in discussions on system and solution development.
• Company operates with a complete CI/CD software lifecycle and services-oriented-architecture hosted in AWS.

Requirements:

• Strong experience with React and Ruby on Rails.
• Proficiency in deployment systems like GitHub Actions and AWS CodeDeploy.
• Familiarity with AWS Services such as RDS, Lambda, EC2, etc.
• Knowledge of Linux operating system and command-line tools.
• Understanding of OO design, algorithms, and data structures.
• Ability to quickly learn new languages and technologies.
• Previous experience in developing high-traffic websites and improving SEO performance.
• Appreciation for Nerdy's focus on helping people learn without political distractions.
• Preferably hold a Computer Science or related degree.
• Fluent in English.
