Description:

Apptegy is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to join their fast-growing team, which empowers schools and school districts across the United States.
The role involves collaborating with a SCRUM team, including front-end engineers, Ruby on Rails engineers, and Product Owners.
Responsibilities include contributing to the architecture of the front-end stack, ensuring high standards for code quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
The developer will design and implement efficient, reusable, and scalable front-end components using Vue.js.
Mentoring and guiding other team members through code reviews, technical guidance, and best practices is expected.
The position requires evaluating designs, suggesting UI/UX improvements, and enhancing the overall user experience.
Clear and comprehensive documentation in collaboration with Product teams is also part of the job.
The developer will partner closely with Product Managers and Engineering leadership, including the CTO and VPs.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred; alternatively, 6+ years of experience building successful products and platforms on an engineering team without a technical degree is acceptable.
Candidates should have a strong academic and professional track record of achievements.
A minimum of 6–7+ years of experience with JavaScript and ES6+ is required.
Proficiency with front-end frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular is necessary.
Experience with raw CSS and CSS frameworks is expected.
Hands-on experience writing tests to ensure code quality and reliability is essential.
Proven experience working collaboratively on an engineering team is required.
